Crytek повторяет очевидное
Crytek boss Cevat Yerli, restricted by non-disclosure agreements with both Microsoft and Sony, told Eurogamer Crysis 3 running on a powerful PC looks better than next-generation games due to be announced. Indeed, he said it is "impossible" for consoles to match gaming PCs.

The chief reason behind this, Yerli said, is cost.

"Without breaking NDAs that are in place, realistically, from purely a price point perspective, it is impossible.

выходит такая планка в графике нас ждет на ближайшие пять лет :)

ведь последний tech от них, так как собираются ориентироваться на ф2п (на массового пользователя, проще говоря). Остается Unreal Engine новый, который пока не очень и разве что DICE с Frostbite, что конечно плохо для перспективы.

Кстати, чувак из крайтек еще следующее пишет:
"It's impossible to package $2000-3000 into a mainstream, let's say $500 console. I'm not saying they are $500 consoles. They may launch a console at $2000, but the consumer pricing is usually much lower than that.

"So, given consumer pricing, and given the cost of production of a gamer PC and the amount of watt of power it needs, which is like a fridge, it's impossible."

Yerli added that console manufacturers face a losing battle in the fight with PCs because of the evolution of PC gaming since the launch of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"If you look at PC gaming, that has changed also," he said. "The whole modular way you can design a PC today, with two, three or four graphics cards in them, and you can water cool them and overclock to infinity, that didn't exist even six or seven years ago. You just bought one or maybe two graphics cards and then you were super enthusiastic.

Кстати, по ощущениям, Fox Engine новый схожую картинку выдает как Crysis 3 на первой картинке.
 
это шоты из Black Ops 3. На первом - ремейк карты Carrier, на втором - Drone. =)

Кол-во точек на экране при достижении их определенного кол-ва, никак не сказываются на красоте. А про дождь, картинка лишь подтверждает мою правоту.

Wow...Crytek truly deserves to be as cocky as they are. Much respect. They already are the number 1 studio that push pc graphics to the extreme and they have kept that title for a long time. Now they're even impressing us on current gen consoles which is an amazing accomplishment. If this doesn't sell their cryengine 3 I don't know what will. Congratulations to Crytek. I hope they become very successful.

I still cant believe that they've managed to include real-time reflections in console versions.

Man, they weren't kidding about the facial tech being comparable to LA Noire's.

Нет не будет, там будут игры.Много.

А ГРАФОН в единственном числе будет на РС.
1 Х графон = круизис, 5 часов игры и потом снова 7 лет зимний сон.Формула извесная.Upgrade&Hate.
 
Мдам... Городские пейзажи мне офигенно нравятся, но вопрос - какая картинка будет на консолях (а именно на боксе).
 
Ну как, плохо будеть выглядить, не надо было ее делать на приставки.Они и прежние лучше бы не делали, но так пошло.
У бокса и так во всех играх жуткий тиринг (даже в ексах) у етой наверное будет и по вертикали ...а у пс3 будет мыло.Вот так и будет круизис 3 на приставках , хотя не понятно почему все время про банчмарк 3 разговор, темма про новые приставки, нет ?
