The cinematography and the way the game tells its story blew me away. It's touching and entertaining.
10 Graphics
Amazingly beautiful -- just watch sand cascade from Drake's footsteps, water slosh across the screen, and the wrinkles crinkle on characters faces. Naughty Dog outdid itself.
10 Sound
Spectacular voice acting, fantastic sound effects and an emotional score.
10 Gameplay
Refined climbing and shooting are better than ever, but it’s the way your actions merge with the story that impress.
10 Lasting Appeal
Single player deserves multiple playthroughs, just like your favorite film. Multiplayer is deep as well as rewarding and will keep you coming back.

Только что IGN оценил Call of Duty MW3 - 9.0 (Amazing)

8.5 Presentation
Modern Warfare 3’s menus are laid out clearly and work well. The Elite functionality also adds a lot to competitive multiplayer players.
8.5 Graphics
Sure, the engine is dated, but the work that’s been done still creates scenes that are impressive to watch. And it always runs at 60 frames per second.
8.0 Sound
A lot has actually been done with the guns to make them sound like they have more weight. The voice acting is also well done, though I could stand for a bit less rockin’ guitars.
9.0 Gameplay
The campaign story has its failings, but fantastic set pieces nonetheless. The multiplayer is the best it’s ever been, and Spec Ops is also great fun.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
This is the Call of Duty players will be playing online for hours and hours thanks to its engrossing multiplayer experience. That is, until the next one comes out…

Да уж, игра даже хуже, чем World at War =)... А вообще, раньше бы журналисты такую игру оценили бы баллов на 7-мь, сказав, что это набор дополнительных карт, типа не полноценная игра, а дополнение. Помнится 3-тью часть Resident Evil некоторые из-за вторичности на 6 баллов оценивали =). Сейчас видимо многие просто не видят куда дальше развиваться, фз...
